Welcome to our corner of Oklahoma!

Red Lands Council is working to develop every girl to her full potential. Here's how you can be involved:

Girl Scouts is the world’s preeminent organization dedicated solely to girls—all girls—where, in an accepting and nurturing environment, girls build character and skills for success in the real world. In partnership with committed adults, girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives—like strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.

In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together. Through the many enriching experiences provided by the Girl Scouts, they can grow courageous and strong.

Girl Scouts. Where Girls Grow Strong.

We offer a wide range of activies from camping to helping girls build computer confidence. And, we're proud to sponsor GirlSports 2000, which emphasizes teamwork, fitness, and fun.

Whatever the activity, the Girl Scout program is timeless and traditional, providing a solid foundation upon which we build tomorrow's leaders.

We’re for every girl, everywhere.

As the largest organization in the world committed to girls, we are the leading authority on girls, we have unparalleled access to girls, and we're experienced advocates for girls. With a diverse membership of over 2.5 million girls and nearly 900,000 adults, Girl Scouts of the USA provides a structure and scope unparalleled anywhere. We stand for girls by advocating, both nationally and locally, on key issues. More importantly, our access to girls allows us to anticipate their future needs. Currently, on a nationwide basis, one in every nine girls is a Girl Scout, so Girl Scouting truly is everywhere. Girls have access to Girl Scouting as part of in-school programs, as well as traditional Girl Scout troops and groups. We serve girls in foster homes and homeless shelters. We serve girls in the juvenile justice system and those who have mothers in jail.

We build leaders, one girl at a time.

Whether in business, sports, government, science, education, or the arts, Girl Scouts launch leaders in all fields. Women who are recognized leaders cite Girl Scouting as an important part of their success in later life. According to a survey by Louis Harris, two-thirds of Women of Professional Achievement were Girl Scouts at some point in their youth. These women say Girl Scouting favorably influenced some of the very same elements that they define as important to their own success - the ability to get along well with others, friendships and self-confidence were all identified as cornerstones, not only to women’s definitions of success, but their life satisfaction.

Character, conduct, and community service are core qualities of Girl Scouting.

Nothing prepares girls for success in the real world like character. Nothing builds character like the Girl Scout program does. Participation in a wide range of Girl Scout activities, such as collecting food, building houses for the homeless, literacy projects, mentoring, and participating in environmental projectss helps girls gain self-confidence, self-respect, and self-worth. These qualities strongly impact conduct and clearly have lasting effects.

Girl Scouts discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together.

Fun and adventure know no bounds for Girl Scouts. We do it all! From caving to competitive sports, from trips overseas to trips up the Mississippi river, from meeting the first female space shuttle pilot to the mayor of a local city . . . Girl Scouts get to do it all! Whether through the power of competitive sports or collaboration on community service projects, girls empower themselves and one another.
