Be A Volunteer At One Of Our Girl Scout Special Events !
Over the next year, we'll be looking at special events that will have the strongest and most wide-reaching impact for our girls. In order to make that happen, we need YOU! Your individual commitment is vital to the overall success of each and every girl we serve!

Girl Scouts...
- Is for every girl, everywhere, regardless of racial, religious, socioeconomic or ethnic backgrounds.
Activities for all levels are designed to increase cross-cultural understanding and sensitivity and a
respect for diversity.
- Wouldn't be Girl Scouts without adult participation! Girls and adults form a working partnership, with
leaders serving as role models and as mentors who encourage girls to realize their full potential.
- Creates girls who contribute to society. Girl Scouts perform services which better the quality of life for
others in the community.
- Builds skills through progressive experiences. Activities are structured to allow each girl to proceed at a
pace which is comfortable to her, with increasing responsibilities and challenges as her skills increase.
- Features an earned recognition system of badges, awards and "Try-its" designed to develop skills, reward
accomplishments and encourage girls to try new experiences.
- Helps girls develop meaningful values and ethics that will guide their actions. Girl Scouting empowers
girls to act on their values and convictions.
- Is Where Girls Grow Strong!

According to GSUSA statistics, for every 100 girls who join Girl Scouts:
- 71 will earn A's and B's compared to 50 percent of girls nationwide
- 18 will develop hobbies they will enjoy during their adult life.
- 8 will enter a vocation learned through a badge or patch program.
- 4 will earn the "Gold Award".
- 1 will use her Girl Scouting skills to save a life.
