  • We're Always Looking For Volunteers!
elp us reach more girls! If you are interested in helping us bring Girl Scouting to more girls, please call (405) 528-3535 or (800) 698-0022t. Volunteers are always needed in order for girls to have the full Girl Scout experience.

As an adult volunteer, you choose how you want to participate in Girl Scouts. For example:

You can be a trainer, troop/group leader, first-aid leader, camp volunteer, event volunteer, nature consultant, special speaker at meetings or even a one-time volunteer.

Your interests are paired with our opportunities. If you are an expert in fitness, biking, cooking, aviation, science, gardening or any other topic, you can share your knowledge with girls.

All you have to do is care and want to help girls grow strong. The possibilities for volunteering are as diverse as the girls.

Girls don’t grow up and thrive on their own – they need caring adults. Volunteers are the key to success for any non-profit organization and Girl Scouts is no different. We depend on volunteers to fortify Girl Scouts. Last year more than 1,900 adults gave thousands of hours to help today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders. The estimated dollar value of volunteer time is $17.55 per hour for 2004, according to the Independent Public Sector. This means our volunteers have contributed over $400,000 worth of time and effort to Girl scouts-Western Oklahoma, Inc. -- making them our largest and most appreciated donor.

You help shape the future by donating your time

We need your help and continued support! It doesn’t matter if you are a young adult or retired; male or female; professional or stay-at-home parent. You don’t even have to have a daughter or female relative in Girl Scouts to volunteer!
